Genome Sequence Scanning (GSS) is powerful platform with a broad range of potential applications in microbial strain typing.
The platform’s applications include: advanced genomics research on microbial populations; identification and source tracking of food and product-borne pathogens; accelerating infectious disease diagnosis and improving antibiotic therapy selection; and streamlining antibiotic development and clinical trials. PathoGenetix plans to launch the first commercial application of GSS technology, for microbiome research, in late 2012.
